How do I obtain an application from?
Access the online form here.
 
Can I participate if I have formal business qualifications?

The competition is not open to those who have an undergraduate or postgraduate business degree.

 
Does YES encourage individuals from all backgrounds to participate?

Yes, we are committed to eliminating unjustified discrimination and promoting equality of opportunity and good relations across and between equality groups. We welcome applications from all sections of the community and do not discriminate on the grounds of gender, disability, age, race/ethnicity, religion or philosophical belief or sexual orientation.

 
If I have a disability would I be able to participate in YES?
Yes, the competition is open to all individuals, including those with disabilities. If you have a disability, please let us know if there are any reasonable adjustments we can make to enable your participation at the face to face events.
 
Can I participate in YES if I have already participated before?
No. Individuals cannot take part if they have already participated in Biomedical YES, Bioscience YES, Biotechnology YES, Chemistry YES, Digital YES, Energy YES, Engineering YES, Environment YES or Sustainability YES.
 
Is there a limit to the number of teams that can enter from one university?
No. There is no limit to the number of teams that can enter from one university. Teams are allocated places on a first come first served basis.
 
Can I participate if I am a Masters student?
Yes, if you are registered as a postgraduate at a university up until 31 December 2024.
 
Is there an age limit?
No. There is no age limit.
 
Is YES open to Master and PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, research fellows and technicians of universities in other countries outside the UK?

Yes, we welcome participants from other countries, however, they will have to cover their own travel costs to the UK.
